MARITIME CENTRE FOR AFRICAN DANCE PRESENTS:

A FULL DAY WORKSHOP:  BEGINNING APRIL 1ST– APRIL 22ND, 2011.

An excellent opportunity to energize and excite everyone!

MCAD is hosting FULL DAY INTERACTIVE WORKSHOPS to energize, educate and have fun!   We will be hosting the workshop the entire school day, according to your school schedule, for as many classes as you please! The class schedule can be set up by you, Students can come in a 20 minute to 45 minute sessions.  For  a special fee of $ 750.00, taxes in, The workshops will include one Trained Dancer and One Live Drummer.  The purpose is to educate students about culture and diversity, particularly getting a taste of African tradition and culture.  Students will have an opportunity to get physically active too.  We can simply use any space given to us by the school, be it the library, cafeteria, gymnasium, or a multipurpose room.  Also note, that there will be a prize give away!  The prizes will be given during the workshop hours.

Who are we exactly:  Well we are the MARITIME CENTRE FOR AFRICAN DANCE.  Founded in 2005, we are an organization proudly dedicated to teaching, sharing and promoting African Culture to Children, Youth and Adults across Atlantic Canada—actually ALL of Canada. To date, we are proud to annouce we have taught well over 200,000 people in schools, community centres, camps and programs across the country.
